Enderby - Change of Venue from 1st June 2024
There is good news and bad news!
We are having to move away from Enderby Civic Centre due to a number of reasons;
-
Transport of our equipment to Enderby - since April, we have had to transport all our equipement and mats between Broughton Astley and Enderby twice a week! This is not sustainable.
-
Whilst the hall at the centre is good, safe and largely fit for purpose, the mat set-up has never been ideal
-
There aren’t enough for the whole hall
-
There has been some movement in them during training
-
There is always the risk of someone falling onto the wood floor – we are always aware of this so take care, but it’s an ever-present risk
-
-
Car parking in Enderby is pretty terrible
We have spent some considerable time searching for a new venue in the immediate area, but sadly nothing is suitable - either too small, can't store our mats, no availability or no parking!
BUT
Just up the road 15 mins away, we have a lovely venue in Earl Shilton!
The hall is permanently matted out, there is oodles of parking just a short walk from our Earl Shilton venue and it’s all FREE!!!
From 1st June we will be at;
The Stute, 12 Station Road, Earl Shilton, LE9 7GA, or we also have our Coalville venue
OUR NEW EXPANDED EARL SHILTON TIMETABLE

We have been teaching at The Stute in Earl Shilton for 14 years and have a great relationship with the committee there, it’s also a charity, so with us increasing our days, it helps their funds and efforts even more, and last year all the mats were replaced with brand new ones.
TRAINING DAYS
You will have five days to choose from;
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sunday.
(Unfortunately we cannot have a Friday)
Coaching Team
Your coaching team remains largely unchanged, with Sensei's Duncan & Craig on a Thursday and Sensei's Duncan & Alice on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday.
OUR NEW EXPANDED EARL SHILTON TIMETABLE
We are very hopeful that the majority of you will be able to make the transition & really pleased that we can offer so many training days. Please take a look at the new timetable and visit the new venue, as we are sure you will be impressed!
Car Parking
The main car parks are at the Co-op Supermarket (Free and zero restrictions, it's also a much bigger car park than the ones in Enderby)
There is also a large free car park just below Wood Street Park, behind the Lord Nelson pub, accessed via Kings Walk.
The team & I apologise for any inconvenience caused, and please be assured that this decision was not made in haste or without considerable thought and consultation.
