Membership information​
LJJ Martial Arts is a membership organisation, so all students must be members in order to train.
Annual membership covers all of these items;

Video portal access – the syllabus videos

Continued access to the “Introduction to Martial Arts” online course

Membership website updates and support at www.LJJMartialArts.co.uk

Member to Member insurance is included under the LJJ blanket policy

This is £40/year per student, unless it is Little Dragons, in which case it's £20. We started using a new system in 2023, provided by the billing company Nest Management who manage your DD.
Nest will send you an email about a month before the payment is due, but we know that sometimes this gets missed, or even ends up in your spam folder, so please check there too.
If you don’t receive a message, then perhaps we have old contact details for you? Have you changed your mobile number and / or email address in the last 12 months? If so, please email info@leicesterjujitsu.co.uk so that we can get those updated for you.

We will often split payments over consecutive months if there are two or more students per agreement, to help you out.

FAQ's
-Why is Little Dragons only £20?
Our Little Dragons programme has a higher ratio of students to coaches – the maximum class size is eight for 2½-4yrs pre-school, and ten for 4-6yrs, with a minimum of a full coach and a junior leader helper. The class is 30mins long, so fatigue is rarely a problem. The structure is play orientated, and the techniques are our simpler ones & are usually practised 1:2 (1 coach to 2 students). The risks are therefore extremely low.

-What Insurance does LJJ Martial Arts have in place?
We are committed to ensuring that our organisation has the correct insurance policies in place, and we feel that it’s important to make sure this information is shared with our members. The cover LJJ Martial Arts has in place includes;
- Public Liability cover £5,000,000
- Employers Liability cover £10,000,000, as ALL of our coaches and helpers are paid at least the living wage
- Products Liability cover £5,000,000
- Professional Indemnity £5,000,000 is held by all Full Coaches (Red uniform).

-Is it dangerous?
Injuries at any classes are very rare at LJJ, but can of course happen, as it is a Martial Art and carries inherent risks. We keep injuires low by having safety as our primary concern and the coaches perform continual active risk assessments throughout our sessions.

3. Login with students surname and DOB - if first time, see below
4. Click "Syllabus Videos"
FIRST TIME LOGIN - We have a security login process to authentic you per device.
A. Do steps 1 & 2 above, then the system (ESMS) will send you an email, usually within the next 5mins - If the email does not arrive after 15mins, then you'll need to email us at info@leicesterjujitsu.co.uk to check which email we have listed for you.
B. Click the link in the email
C. Go back and do steps 1-3
This process is per device, so if you go through this on your mobile, but now want to use your tablet, you'll need to do it again (sorry!)

Personal Accident & Participant to Participant Insurance is NOT covered (for more info see the Policy Document - Pages 7 and 8), because this can get very expensive on a companywide scheme and the cover is pityiful! However, a bespoke individual policy covering your specific needs can be quite cost effective.
​
If your income depends on it, we recommend you source your own policy that is specific for your needs from somewhere like "Insure 4 Sport", "Sports Insurance 4u" or our insurers info@stbinsurance.co.uk, and I am sure there are others.
